Totem Pole

The Totem Pole Collection develops the concept behind the Twist Collection, by using several castings one on top of another. The result is a series of tall, elegant, sculptural structures that spiral and zig-zag through numerous twists and turns, with a rhythmic beat.

The hand painted patterns play with the inherent movement in the shape, using the twist of the pot itself as the foundation for spiralling patterns, some of which are simple to read, while others are hidden in more complex and intricate tessellations founded on prime numbers and mathematical sequences.

The Totems range in size from 360mm to 800mm tall. The tallest have been made in more than one piece.
